Fall is my favorite season.
Sweaters, Boots, Coats and Scarves are in rich colors and textures always make it a fun transition. Whimsy has all of these items arriving daily.
Hazel has never looked better for fall and the cozy sweaters go great with jeans or you can dress them up with a cute skirt.
A shipment of boots just came in yesterday and we have several new styles and colors. Everything from a brighter accent to a great basic, boots make an outfit. The short ankle boot is

I just want to thank all the people who so generously donated clothing to the Women Helping Women Charity drive this weekend. We ended having many items that will help women who are trying to get jobs, go on interviews and better their lives.
Thank you also to Tranquility Med Spa and Toni, who involved Whimsy and the Jr. League of Salt Lake who are always doing such great service for those who need it.
Whimsy appreciates being included in such great events.

Whimsy & Tranquility Med Spa Drive for the Junior League

Helping Those with Less

Want to participate in a worthwhile cause and clean out your closet at the same time? Tranquility Med Spa and Salon and Whimsy Clothing will be combining efforts for a clothing drive on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28. This clothing drive is for the Junior League of Salt Lake's Women Helping Women program. This charity program helps women who fall below the poverty line in our community improve their quality of life. Spa owner, Toni Taylor adds that 15 percent of sales on both drive days at both Tranquility and Whimsy Clothing will go to directly benefit the Women Helping Women program. "This is the perfect time for those women who have a little more to help those women with a little less," says Taylor. "These are trying economic times and these women need us more than ever to help them out. They can barely afford food for their children, let alone a nice suit for a job interview." Taylor says they are looking for clothing items that are nicely cared for and up-to-date. She wants the under-served women of Salt Lake to be able to come in and shop these donations with dignity. Taylor is a volunteer for the Women Helping Women Boutique program at the Junior League and says her spa is the perfect fit to do this. "We're not just a spa and we don't just make people look good. We want to help these women who don't have the means or money to look their best for job interviews and to help them back on their feet." Taylor says the Women Helping Women program is especially in need of the following items:
New Bras and panties, especially in plus sizes
Gently used women's work clothes in large sizes
Dry cleaning services The public can bring their items to Tranquility Med Spa and Salon and all Whimsy Clothing locations March 27-28. There will be a drop-off bin there that will go back to the Boutique at the Junior League of Salt Lake where women can choose the items they wish.
